Physics Project Reflection #3

So far we,ve finally fixed the unstable stands and added a "branch" in the middle of both stands so it would stand properly. We also got the idea suggested by Mrs. Johnson to use the "Branch" as a benefit to put the track there. So my partner Claudine and I decided to make a turn and we plan to do another slope and down so we will have our marble accelerate again and so we can continue on doing other elements such as we were planning a corkscrew somewhere in the coaster. I think we made a really great progress. It might not look like we did but it was really hard figuring out angles that will make the marble stay on track rather than inertia making the marble fly off track. It's quite difficult and I'm glad I have a partner who moves around the angles of the tube and I start the marble to test if it works. What went well was the angle of our slope that gives enough acceleration to make our marble pass through the elements made so far. What has been the frustration was how inertia effects how we have to make our track because it will send the marble flying if we are not mindful of the direction we want the marble to go. What had also been the frustration was the duct tape. Sometimes it wouldn't cooperate and not stick.
